However, for those wishing to explore further afield why not venture along the north east coast and visit the many fishing villages along the dramatic Moray Firth coastline. Or travel inland and follow the Malt Whisky Trail with its many distilleries, with visitor centres and of course tasting! The capital town of the Highlands, Inverness, is just 10 miles away and this vibrant city has top-notch restaurants and an excellent theatre.
