The town also has convenience stores for all of your holiday essentials, the historic Monmouth Castle and Monnow Bridge, a local museum, and walks past Monmouth Viaduct. Local attractions include Blasmere Amusement Park, the Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo, St Briavels Castle, and the impressive Clearwell Caves. Situated in the Wye Valley National Landscape, there are a great many scenic walks to be enjoyed, including those at the Forest of Dean, Yat Rock, and King Arthur’s Cave.
