    More Information

The Creamery is a charming Grade ll listed, 17th century cottage, enjoying a peaceful setting on the edge of the unspoilt village of Nympsfield. The Creamery is the ideal country retreat for a family or for a group of friends who are looking for a relaxing break in the South Cotswolds.

Be greeted by two off-road parking spaces, as you unload your luggage in through the front door where you will find all the rooms on the ground–floor have warming underfloor heating. The door opens into the spacious kitchen/diner, that boasts charming features including exposed stone, an arrow slit window and the exposed brickwork of the original bread oven, where you can make use of the contemporary appliances to rustle up heart-warming meals, and gather around the wooden dining table to dig into your feast and toast to the start of your wonderful holiday.

A continuation of the kitchen lies a utility room with extra storage and a washing machine, as well as a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

Retreat to the stunning dual aspect sitting room to relax with your loved ones, surrounded by exposed beams, exposed stone walls, exposed brickwork from another bread oven and original flagstone flooring, where you can watch your favorite TV show on the Smart TV, as the wood burning stove creates a warming ambience in the entire room.

When the night draws to a close, two elegant bedrooms sit upstairs; the first hosts a king-size bed with lovely views across the garden and towards the church and has an en-suite bathroom with an inviting freestanding bath, and separate walk-in shower.
The second room contains a super-king-size bed (zip/link, can be twin on request), overlooking the barn opposite, complete with striking exposed beams, and an en-suite shower room with a large walk-in rain shower.

Catch the morning sunrise in the attractive enclosed garden that sits at the front of the property and enjoys views of the neighboring farmland and parish church. Be sure to make use of the charcoal barbecue in warmer months, perfect for alfresco dining!

The Creamery is situated in peaceful Nympsfield, which is an unspoilt village. Just a short walk from the village is Woodchester Park, a National Trust owned wooded valley with a play trail, walking trails and an impressive Grade I listed Victorian mansion.

Surrounded by stunning countryside, there are many walks and cycle routes on its doorstep including the famed Cotswold Way long distance walking trail which passes to the west of the village and takes in the viewpoint at Coaley Peak and the Neolithic burial mound of Uley Long Barrow.

Nympsfield is well-placed for visiting the many historical towns of the region including such as Nailsworth, which is nestled in the Nailsworth Valley, one of the “Five Valleys” in the South Cotswolds, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast at The Canteen Café before showing off your golfing skills at Minchinhampton Golf Club and finishing off your day with food and a tipple at The Village Inn.

Nearby Stroud is famed for its independent shops, galleries and cafes and an award-winning farmers’ market every Saturday, with an organic farm shop just a short drive from the property. The town has a wide range of restaurants and pubs such as The Prince Albert Inn which often has live music nights and is also surrounded by the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where there are many lovely walks and cycle routes, including those through Rodborough Common which has spectacular views across Woodchester Valley and to the River Seven on a clear day.

Venture over to Cirencester which is the largest town and is known as the ‘capital of the Cotswolds’, supporting a wide range of amenities such as Wheatsheaf Inn and The Bear Inn and you can take a stroll around Cirencester Park which forms the Bathurst Estate and is a picturesque country park with plenty to discover and do.

For a fantastic holiday that the whole family will enjoy, choose The Creamery.
