Comprising three exceptional holiday homes, each offering their own characterful charm and an eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional interiors, Croft Farm House offers all you could need for a memorable escape with family and friends to Cambridgeshire. Resting in Thornhaugh near to all of the wonderful amenities that Wansford has to offer, this collection of cottages is ideally located for a rural retreat. Take your pick from The Farmhouse, The Granary and The Barn, each with their own unique style suited to a variety of group needs. The Farmhouse can sleep up to ten guests, with a rustic interior presented in its original wooden beams and warming woodburning stove settled in the sitting room, with the kitchen and dining room boasting just as much personality, making a lovely choice for the family of the group. With accommodation spread over three floors, The Farmhouse is also perfect for a variety of group needs, with zip/link beds and en-suites too to allow for flexible sleeping arrangements. The Granary is of equal delight, with a more contemporary style, its open-plan living space making a lovely spot for the whole group to gather around the impressive dining table and enjoy a delicious homemade meal, with this property sleeping a total of four guests in two beautiful bedrooms perched up past the glass mezzanine overlooking the excitement of the ground floor. The third and final property is The Barn, also sleeping four guests and hosting a charming open-plan living space, this property is wonderfully suited to those less able with its all-ground-floor accommodation, also boasting a beautiful contemporary interior with a rustic twist, with two inviting double bedrooms to choose from. Each of the properties boast their own garden areas, perfect for those seeking a quiet spot with a loved one, or come together to dine alfresco amidst the fresh countryside air, for the ultimate end to any fun-filled day. The local area is desirably remote, with all of the amenities you could need for a self-catered stay resting along the waterside of Wansford village, hosting a welcoming pub, convenience store, Post Office, garage and The Haycock Hotel, not only serving delicious afternoon teas but also being the perfect place to learn of how the village got its name. Venture over to the bustling city of Peterborough, with plenty of historic wonder to uncover such as its 13th century cathedral with its impressive Gothic face, a heritage trail taking you back in time with access to the Peterborough Museum home to a reconstructed Victorian operating theatre, fossils and paintings, as well as Burghley House, John Clare Cottage and Sacrewell Farm all being well-worth visiting for a true rural experience. Make the most of the wonderful dining opportunities in Peterborough with plenty of pubs and restaurants to take your pick from, or enjoy a day in the historic town of Stamford to find a variety of quaint cafés alongside magnificent architecture and noticeable filming locations from Pride and Prejudice. In easy reach of all of the excitement of Wisbech and Corby too, there’s no better choice than the cottages at Croft Farm House for a fun-filled family stay.
