The village of Hartland is only a short drive away which offers plenty of choice if you fancy a night off from the cooking. Take time to explore nearby Hartland Abbey or take the short drive to Hartland Point and soak up the views of the lighthouse as you walk along the coastal path; much of this area is owned by The National Trust, offering a beautiful stretch of rugged unspoilt cliffs, sheltered valleys and ancient woodlands. Visit the charming fishing village of Clovelly overlooking the harbour, and try and spot the donkeys trundling up the hill with their packages.
