Louth 9 miles. This lovely bright and cheerful log cabin is set within the owner’s land, in the small hamlet of Authorpe, nine miles from the pretty market town of Louth. With wide views over arable farmland, it provides a tranquil retreat for couples wanting to relax and recharge their batteries, while being within easy reach of the Lincolnshire coastline and historic towns. With mainly ground floor accommodation, there are spacious rooms, with a light and airy sitting room painted in blues and whites creating a coastal feel. While the high apex beamed roof houses a small snug room on a mezzanine floor. With a generous sized bedroom and a separate shower room, this very comfortable property feels homely and inviting. The immediate area offers good cycling and walking opportunities, with quiet flat country lanes and a network of public footpaths. The charming, historic town of nearby Louth is a delight, with its quaint narrow streets, independent retailers and majestic central church. With an excellent array of pubs and tea rooms, this “capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds” will appeal to all. Be sure to visit the nearby coastal seaside towns of Mablethorpe, Cleethorpes and Skegness, with their traditional attractions and long sandy beaches that will appeal to all. Mablethorpe is home to a seal sanctuary and from October to December you can visit the grey seal sanctuary at Donna Nook where you can watch the pups being born in their natural habitat. With such a variety of attractions in the area, a visit to The Nook will be the first of many.
