A must is the Jorvik Viking Centre, the National Railway Museum and the famous York Minster. The nearby historic market towns of Easingwold and Thirsk both host weekly markets in their cobbled squares, lined with independent shops, tea rooms and inns and picturesque Helmsley has a wonderful display of colourful hanging baskets during the summer months. With easy access to the stunning scenery of North Yorkshire Moors and the east coast seaside towns of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey, this attractive cottage is well placed for a varied and interesting holiday.
