Be welcomed into a vast, open-plan living space where you can take your pick of two separate seating areas and their plush sofas to plunge into as you enjoy the warmth of the woodburning stove and the murmur of the Smart TV in the background. The chefs will be happy to find a spacious kitchen with an island/breakfast bar and ample kitchenware to cook to their heart’s content, as well as an elevated dining area to enjoy your meals around. Step through the patio doors to the enclosed garden and its lawn for the children and dogs to run around in while you sink into the hot tub, or sip on a glass of wine admiring the coastal views. Come back into the warm comfort of the house with its underfloor heating and rinse off in the one of the shower rooms or plunge yourself into a relaxing bath before heading to rest in one of five beautifully-decorated bedrooms. The following morning, wake up just before dawn and make yourself a cup of steaming tea or coffee to watch the sun rise over the glistening horizon from the roof terrace. History and nature lovers can visit Mulgrave Castle’s ruins and stroll through Mulgrave Woods before taking a well-deserved break and lounging on the sand at Sandsend Beach. A quick drive will take you to the lovely seaside town of Whitby where you can go to Whitby Whale Watching and take a boat trip to find whales, dolphins and other native wildlife. Then if you’re brave enough, head over to Dracula Experience Ltd where you’ll take a spooky guided walk with animated scenes and live actors whilst learning about the history of Dracula. End the day by walking up to Whitby Harbour West Lighthouse to gape at wide, undisturbed views of the coast before having dinner at the family-friendly Abbey Wharf restaurant.
