    More Information

Situated in the small town of Dulverton, tucked on the fringes of the beautiful Exmoor National Park in Somerset, is this charming detached cottage. The property has been completely renovated to provide an exceptional base for friends or families looking to escape to this wonderful part of Somerset. Entering the property, you go into the boot room, with hooks to hang your coats and space to leave your muddy boots before stepping through to the contemporary dwelling. Discover a large open-plan living space, with a kitchen wonderfully appointed to the front with quality grey units and sleek white worktops providing all the space you need to prepare some lovely home-cooked meals. There is a dining area with ample seating for families to gather for an evening meal or a hearty breakfast whilst planning the day’s events. The sitting room has two large sofas where you can curl up under some blankets whilst the woodburning stove provides warmth for the winter months. Those quieter evenings can be filled with a selection of provided DVDs, or some games for some family fun. From here, there are four stairs leading up to a twin bedroom with a family bathroom adjacent to it, with the choice of a bath or shower over to prepare for your day in style. Following the stairs up to the first floor, you will discover two king-size bedrooms, each with their own en-suite shower room as an added bonus. Outside there is an enclosed courtyard where you can sit and unwind with a refreshing beverage or dine alfresco. The town of Dulverton rests on the edge of the Exmoor National Park and hosts a selection of independent shops and supermarkets for all manner of amenities, as well as some pubs and restaurants if you don’t fancy cooking one evening. Exmoor National Park is home to a number of fascinating trails for walking, hiking or cycling opportunities and the area is recognised for its abundance of wildlife, including deer, otters, bats and dormice. Tarr Steps, a medieval stone clapper bridge across the River Barle located 4 miles from Dulverton, is well worth a visit. The Old Workshop is the place to be for sightseers interested in the area’s rich history.
