A beautiful, wooden pod resting in East Grinstead, with large gardens and a good selection of amenities, The South Lodge Retreat is a delightful lodge making a perfect getaway for a couple looking to explore the countryside of West Sussex. Park outside the main gates on a private road and make your way up the garden path to find a pod shrouded in mature shrubs and potted plants. Enter the property to discover a compact, well-fitted kitchen area where you can cook a heart-warming meal for two, along with a double bed and a shower room where you can freshen up after a long day of exploring the countryside. Outside there are many delightful spaces to enjoy an alfresco affair, with a patio and furniture directly outside the property where guests can enjoy a tipple in the sunshine, whilst there is also the option of an undercover barbecue area further up the garden. East Grinstead is a village resting in the south of England, home to a selection of local pubs, shops, convenience stores and tasty eateries, so guests can enjoy a meal out and stock up on essentials. The village also has a local museum and access to the beautiful scenery of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where there are many walks and mountain biking trails, including Ashdown Forest and Forest Way Country Park. There is also a great selection of historic sites such as Hever Castle and Gardens and Hammerwood Park, great for history enthusiasts. From here, visit Crawley, where there are more shops, pubs, a local museum and park, or take a train to London and sightsee, or a trip to the coast via train at Brighton.
