Seahouses is within walking distance and offers a good variety of shops and eateries as well as miles of sandy beaches to explore. You can catch a boat from here to Farne Islands where you can look out for birds and seals. Jump in the car and head out to attractions such as Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland Country Zoo, Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre and Hadrian’s Wall. Activities to look forward to while you’re in the region include golf at Alnmouth, horse-riding at Slate Hall Riding Centre and surfing at Bamburgh Castle Beach.
