The pretty courtyard garden where you can enjoy an early morning cup of tea listening to the gulls in the harbour with a side gate leading you out onto the coastal path. Mevagissey is a working harbour, where you can watch the fishermen land their catch, mend their nets which they have being doing since 1430 or just watch the boats bobbing up and down. Mevagissey has a long history of smuggling and piracy. It’s a picture postcard quaint Cornish harbour. A fine selection of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants as well as a cluster of art galleries around the harbour walls and line the pretty maze of streets.
