Private entrance to the quietly located apartment via two flights of steps to the front door. The rooms all lead off a central corridor. Open plan Living/dining room with leather sofa and arm chair, flat-screen TV and DVD, dining table and four chairs, electric log burning stove and night storage heater. Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave. Double bedroom with a 4ft 6in double bed. Single bedroom with 3ft bed (an additional fold away bed is available on request, which could accommodate an extra child). Shower Room with shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin.
Tideways is perfectly located in the heart of West Looe, surrounded by a charming mix of local shops and traditional pubs. Just yards from the picturesque harbourside, this peaceful apartment offers a tranquil base for your stay. A short, level walk of just 5-10 minutes will take you to the livelier East Looe, with its bustling shops, vibrant pubs, restaurants, and stunning sandy beach. For a unique way to cross the river, you can also take the nearby ferry, which operates at high tide and only takes a few minutes to reach the other side.

A small decked area is accessed via 3 steps, with an attractive bistro table and two chairs. The owner’s garden is up further steps beyond this terrace which is fenced for privacy.
The bustling town of Looe is divided by the ever-changing river that separates quieter West Looe from the absorbing waterfront of East Looe, with its diversity of shops, restaurants and pubs, Banjo pier and sandy beach.
The pace and routine of life in Looe follows the ebb and flow of the tide and the movement of boats returning with their catch of fresh fish. Local boatman can ferry visitors to and from either quay, or alternatively, you can enjoy a pleasant cruise along the beautiful and rugged coastline, keeping an eye out for the schools of dolphins that can often be spotted in the bay.
A guided tour will draw you deeper into the labyrinth of ancient buildings, clustered together in the narrow streets and courtyards that make up the old town of East Looe. Visit the 16th century Old Guildhall museum with its interesting exhibits detailing the town's diverse history, or relax and just while away the hours on the wonderful sandy beach, separated from the river mouth by the Banjo Pier.
The South East Cornish coastline is dotted with lovely beaches, hidden coves, and pretty seaside villages to explore. You can also join the magnificent South West Coast Path to enjoy bracing cliff top walks with spectacular views.
For a different kind of day out, the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary is just outside Looe, providing vital refuge for primates in need, and a fascinating family activity whilst supporting a great cause.

Tideways Apartment can be booked in conjunction with The Old Bakehouse at an extra cost, and availability permitting. This 1 bedroomed studio apartment is situated directly beneath Tideways (although completely separate and distinct apartments, they share the street entrance) and for larger parties, can provide a separate living space with double bedroom, perhaps for grandparents holidaying with the family.
