Inside, there are three elegantly styled bedrooms comprising a King-size, a double, and a single, alongside a central shower room that’s ideal for freshening up after days spent outdoors. The open-plan kitchen/diner with Smart TV is well equipped for holiday living and flows into a separate dining area, perfect for relaxed family meals. A light-filled sitting area completes the layout, offering an inviting space to put your feet up while taking in views across the pretty front garden and the countryside beyond, stretching over the Afon Dwyryd estuary towards Portmeirion.
Outside, the garden is a real highlight. The large, gently sloping lawn provides plenty of room for children and dogs to play, while mature trees frame the surrounding rural vistas while decking offers the perfect spot for taking in the surroundings. It’s a wonderfully inviting space for quiet moments with a book or lingering over a glass of wine on warm summer evenings.
The cottage is ideally placed for countryside walks, with the dramatic landscapes of Snowdonia National Park just a short drive away. Nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog is home to Zip World attractions, including zip wire experiences and Bounce Below. Dining out is well catered for, with popular local choices such as the Ship Aground and The Plas Restaurant in Harlech, while Michelin-starred and well-regarded options further afield include the Gunroom at Castell Deudraeth, the Castell Deudraeth Brasserie, and Tonnau Restaurant in Criccieth.
Local beaches offer some of the finest sand dunes in North Wales, often so peaceful you can walk for miles without meeting another soul. Whether you’re seeking adventure, coastal walks, or relaxed afternoons exploring Portmeirion’s colourful streets, this wonderful Talsarnau cottage is an excellent choice for a memorable family getaway.
