Toad Hall Cottage, a delightful holiday home, situated in the village of West Hill, a gorgeous rural setting in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village offers the perfect location to enjoy the countryside with popular beaches, seaside towns and the dramatic UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast just a car ride away. Sleeping up to five guests, this pet-friendly cottage is ideal for families and friends wishing to enjoy a relaxing break at any time of the year. As you step inside, you will find a bright and welcoming cottage with a stylish interior. The sitting area is a homely and relaxing space with a woodburning stove, perfect for those cooler evenings. The adjoining kitchen/diner is equipped with everything needed for a self-catered holiday and is a great space for creating meals which everyone can enjoy together around the dining table. A sunroom at the rear of the cottage is the perfect spot for your morning cup of coffee, looking out at the garden. Heading upstairs, you will find the three bedrooms, a king-size bedroom, a double and a single room with the family bathroom also on this floor. The enclosed garden, at the rear of the cottage is a little haven to sit back and relax with a book, with the table and chairs providing the perfect spot for dining alfresco when the weather allows. West Hill is a charming village with a small convenience store perfect for stocking up on essentials for your stay. The area is crisscrossed with footpaths and woodland walks with nearby Venn Ottery Nature Reserve, a site of special scientific interest. The town of Ottery St Mary is just a stone’s throw away and home to a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The birthplace of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Ottery’s most important building is the parish church of St. Mary, a magnificent scaled-down version of Exeter Cathedral, situated in the centre.
The regency town of Sidmouth remains a popular seaside destination, a short drive away, where you will find a great range of shops, cafes and restaurants, while Sidmouth Beach is a perfect family friendly spot for safe swimming and rock pooling at low tide. Other popular days out include Exmouth, a lively town on the mouth of the River Exe, boasting two miles of golden sandy beach and a popular spot for water sports or enjoying a leisurely boat trip or fishing trip.
