Take a cruise down the lake to the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere where youll find the Lakes Aquarium in Lakeside great for little ones, or alternatively you can disembark at Brockhole and walk back to Ambleside over Wansfell, through pretty countryside. With Rydal, Grasmere and Hawkshead an easy drive away, this is a great central Lakeland location for that well-deserved break with friends and family.
