This pretty period cottage is situated in a residential street at the top of Jacob’s Ladder, a short walk from Falmouth’s vibrant high street and bustling harbour. Warm and welcoming with exposed stone walls and painted wooden floors, the cottage provides excellent accommodation. Enter into the sunny porch and hall, off which the comfortable sitting room has a wood burning stove and good selection of games – perfect for relaxing or spending a diverting evening with the family. The kitchen is a wonderfully social space with a neat dining area, a full range of appliances and an electric range. Glazed doors lead to the enclosed garden meandering over two level (steep steps to upper level, children should be supervised) and provides an ideal space to sit and enjoy a meal al fresco. Tops’l Cottage is a fantastic base from which to explore Falmouth, a 5 minute walk takes you to the town centre with some amazing restaurants, art galleries and shops. For seaside fun, Gyllingvase, Swanpool and Maenporth beaches can all be reached within a very short drive. Hop on the ferry to St Mawes and the Roseland beyond, or jump on the train to Truro from the nearby station or explore the nearby sub-tropical gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. The Helford River with secret river inlets and the Lizard Peninsula, with scenic coves set against dramatic granite cliffs are within easy reach by car; Kynance Cove is breathtaking and will not disappoint!
