Tranquil Lodge is a charming retreat within the well-maintained grounds of Percy Wood Country Park in Swarland. Boasting a free, on-site 18-hole golf course, off-road parking, and welcoming two well-behaved dogs, this lodge is perfect for families or groups of friends seeking to discover the quaint market towns, fishing villages, sandy beaches and the serene countryside of Northumberland. Set your sights on the enclosed garden, where you can relax and enjoy an indulging soak in the hot tub before unpacking your bags. This spot is an idylic place to enjoy alfresco dining, or simply star gazing with your favourite evening tipple. Upon entering this single-storey lodge, you will be greeted by a spacious open-plan living area, where you can unwind on the plush seating in front of the Smart TV after a day of exploration. The living area leads out onto a veranda, furnished for your relaxation, where you can enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the wooded areas. The dining area, seating four, is perfect for enjoying home-cooked meals, prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. The lodge offers two well-presented bedrooms, a king-size, adorned with a TV for those lazy mornings in bed, with the added feature of an en-suite basin and WC, for added convenience, and a snug twin, both boasting ample storage for your belongings. In the morning, freshen up with a long soak in the bath tub, or if you are short of time, a quick rinse in the shower, before you begin your day of exploration. For an adventure not too far, begin your day exploring the wooded grounds of Percy Wood Country Park, where you can utilise the on-site faciltiies such as a free, 18-hole golf course to begin your day. Here there is also a children’s park, as well as an on-site bar and restaurant, The Coast and Country Bar. Animal lovers will be thrilled with a day at Northumberland Zoo, and watch as the array of exotic and native animals play. Immerse yourself in the rich history of Northumberland by touring Alnwick Castle, a popular film location complete with stunning gardens where you can lose yourself amongst the blossoming flowers at The Alnwick Garden. Then, venture into the National Trust – Cragside, a Victorian house and garden famed for being the first house in the world to be lit by hydroelectricity. Catch of the day can be found at Amble Harbour Village, a bustling hub showcasing local produce, whilst the medieval Warkworth Castle is steeped in history and offers a fantastic view over the scenic River Coquet.
