Ty-Coed is perfectly located in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park which is a vast and stunning area of natural beauty, home to some of the most amazing landscapes in the UK. The park is full of attractions, including Rhaeadr Ewynnol (Swallow Falls), the Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, Gwydir Forest Park, and Fairy Glen. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars in the area, including the Y Stablau – Stables Bar and the Hangin’ Pizzeria. You could also visit Porthmadog, a charming town that is home to a variety of attractions, including the iconic Portmeirion Village and Traeth y Greigddu beach which is ideal for a sunny day. It is also home to a variety of restaurants and bars, including The Australia, which serves up delicious Australian-inspired cuisine. Or take a day trip to Aberystwyth, a charming coastal town; the town’s Aberystwyth Castle Grounds are a must-see, as is the Aberystwyth Arts Centre, which features a variety of exhibits and performances. Amgueddfa Ceredigion Museum is also worth a visit, as is the Parc Natur Penglais, which offers beautiful views of the town and coastline. When it comes to dining and drinking, Aberystwyth does not disappoint. The Medina is a popular spot for tapas and cocktails, while the Gogerddan Arms is a great place to enjoy a pint of ale.
