    More Information

Ty Uchaf is a stunning five-bedroom house nestled just outside the charming village of Eglwysbach, Conwy, surrounded by sweeping countryside. Perfect for families or groups, this spacious retreat offers a blend of character and comfort, with stone walls and floor-to-ceiling windows framing picturesque rural vistas. Step inside to discover two inviting sitting rooms, one centred around a woodburning stove in 300 year old part of the house, the other around an open fireplace in the modern extension, ideal for warming up after a day of exploring. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped for creating hearty meals with two ovens and a double oven Aga, while the utility and study provide practical touches for longer stays. Outside, the garden beckons with a mix of patio, decking, lawn and ornamental garden around the house, and then beyond, a private field, woodland and stream to explore. There is ample space to relax and enjoy, whilst being surrounded by fields of a working sheep farm. Keep your eyes peeled for our resident Buzzards, Red Kites, Pheasants, Owls, Foxes, Badgers and Hares, oh and of course our beehive. During the day the house is blessed with breathtaking views down the Conwy Valley and over the Carneddau and Snowdonia mountain range beyond. At night look skyward, with exceptionally low light pollution levels allowing mesmerising views of the stars. Use our telescope to get a closer look, or sit back and spot the regular satellites and shooting stars. Venture beyond Ty Uchaf to uncover the delights of the Conwy Valley. We are within earshot of the closing bell at the world famous Bodnant Gardens, with National Trust Gardens and Welsh Food Centre. Just a short drive away, the historic walled town of Conwy boasts the medieval castle and charming harbour, perfect for history lovers. Head to Llandudno for a traditional seaside experience, complete with a Victorian pier and scenic walks along the Great Orme. For nature enthusiasts, Betws-y-Coed is a haven of outdoor adventure, with cascading waterfalls, woodland trails, and independent shops to browse. Whether you’re seeking coastal charm, cultural heritage, or countryside tranquillity, Ty Uchaf provides an exceptional base for your North Wales escape.
