At any time of year, a cruise from Waterhead up Lake Windermere on the Windermere Steamer is a beautiful way to appreciate the magnificent landscape. Stop off at Bowness-on-Windermere or continue down to Lakeside and visit the Lakes Aquaruim. A delightful base for a Lake District escape of any kind.
