Wansfell Retreat is a beautiful, high specification lodge at Limefitt Park, enjoying impressive uninterrupted views across the valley to the fells and sleeps six guests plus an infant in a travel cot. There is a spacious deck from which to relax and unwind after a day exploring the local villages and attractions. The perfect place to enjoy a welcome break from everyday life and just kick back and drink in those views, perhaps with your morning coffee or evening sundowner. Your lodge is located in one of the loveliest parks in the area – surrounded by the Troutbeck Valley, with beautiful fells and views all around. Only four miles from Windermere village, a bustling vibrant centre with shops, pubs and cafes; or a mile further on to the cosmopolitan Bowness with steam cruises, restaurants and shops. Back at Limefitt, you have two great local pubs in walking distance, there’s a dog-friendly pub and small shop on site, children’s playground and nearby you can enjoy pony-trekking with a third party provider too. You can literally walk from your front door up on the pathways above to the Garburn Pass and onto High Street. Or if you fancy a potter around lovely quiet lanes there is plenty to choose from. On the other side of the valley is Wansfell Pike and over to Ambleside. Driving to Ambleside is around four miles, and Glenridding the village on the shores of Ullswater is ten miles away.
