This lovely, stone-built, Grade II listed cottage is situated in the heart of the pretty hilltop village of Heptonstall, West Yorkshire. Located on the cobbled main street, with pubs, village store and tea rooms on the doorstep, this delightful cottage is an ideal base to unwind or to explore the wonderful West Yorkshire countryside. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated and tastefully furnished to a high standard and is beautifully appointed throughout. Entering the cottage from the cobbled street, you pass into the cosy sitting room with its stone fireplace, woodburner and comfy sofa, ideal for a relaxing evening with a drink, after a day’s sightseeing. The impressive kitchen also has a table for meals, or on sunny days dine alfresco in the walled patio area outside the cottage. On the first floor there is a sumptuous bedroom with views over the cobbled streets and rooftops towards Hebden Bridge, plus a spacious, luxurious bathroom. Off the landing is a spiral staircase leading up to a cosy single bedroom in the eaves of the cottage. If you are feeling energetic, why not explore nearby Hardcastle Crags, a beautiful wooded valley with more than 400-acres of unspoilt woodland with the 19th century Gibson Mill at its heart? There are tumbling streams and glorious waterfalls, all criss-crossed by more than 15 miles of footpaths. The Pennine Way footpath and bridleway also pass within a mile of the cottage. A charming cottage for a relaxing break at any time of the year.
