Several National Trust properties lie in the surrounding area offering lovely days out, including Grantham’s Belton House, Woolsthorpe Manor in Colserworth and Peckover House and Garden in Wisbech. The amazing Rutland Water Nature Reserve presents a gorgeous spot to enjoy some exciting activities like kayaking, paddle boarding and challenging yourself to tackle the huge inflatable assault course on the water, with a host of wildlife watching spots too for those seeking a more tranquil diversion. The marker town of Grantham isn’t far and boasts a wider array of shops, pubs and restaurants, while the likes of Stamford, Melton Mowbray and Newark-on-Trent are just an easy drive away.
