Tucked away in the pretty village of Bere Regis is this characterful mid-terrace property, White Cottage. The interior of the property has been designed with a family in mind, enjoying contemporary styling and all the essentials that you could possibly need to enjoy a self-catering holiday, with easy access to the sublime Dorset coastline. At the end of each day, look forward to relaxing within the sitting room, the social hub of the home, where a delightful plush sofa and armchairs are positioned around the Smart TV. Prepare your meals within the kitchen, featuring a number of quality appliances as well as plenty of preparation space for packing up picnics for the days adventure. Take a seat at the dining table and tuck into a takeaway or lovingly prepared home-cooked meal, accompanied by a glass of wine or two, perfect for toasting to a wonderful holiday in Dorset. During the summer months, take your drinks outdoors on the newly refurbished patio, home to a set of rattan furniture from which you can soak up the final glimpses of sunshine before retuning indoors to find your sleeping spots. On the first floor, you will find a king-size bedroom, boasting crisp white linens and fluffy towels, as well as ample storage space, whilst the single bedroom has a trundle bed and TV. Take a stroll into the village of Bere Regis, where you will find a small convenience store and two traditional pubs. Venture a little further afield to the town of Wareham, offering a greater selection of amenities and attractions; explore the town’s 2000 years of history by taking a walk around the Wareham Walls to find out about the Viking attacks, civil war skirmishes and gruesome executions. Within 12 miles you have the bustling town of Dorchester, home to a traditional high street lined with a wide selection of well-known shops and complemented by lanes accommodating charming boutique shops and independent retailers. On the edge of Dorchester rests Maumbury Rings, a grassed Roman amphitheatre which is a lovely spot for a picnic, and in the summer months it becomes a great venue for music and theatre events. If you’re looking for a day by the coast, head to Weymouth, boasting a magnificent, award-winning beach which is perfect for sunbathing and swimming, as well as offering attractions such as Punch and Judy, donkey rides and pedalos, plenty to keep the children occupied! The World Heritage Sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are a must-visit, while Wareham Woods, Morden Bog Nature Reserve, Hartland Moor National Nature Reserve and Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserve provide idyllic scenery in abundance. You will be spoilt for choice with things to do here; White Cottage makes the ultimate base for those eager to explore East Dorset and the Purbecks.
