Note: The swimming pool’s will be closed on the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th of February. Note: Optional charge for other facilities on-site inc. scuba diving lessons, fishing and bike hire etc. Note: Due to the lakes on-site, children to be supervised at all times. Filey 3 miles. White Rose Cottage is a fabulous excuse to explore the stunning Yorkshire Coast and beautiful countryside. The cottage has been designed, furnished and equipped with the holidaymaker in mind ensuring a most enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing stay whilst here at The Bay. The open plan sitting room offers a spacious and comfortable living area, complete with dining table. French doors lead out onto a small, private south-facing patio, an ideal place to sit and relax, whilst enjoying a morning coffee and planning your day ahead. The cottage sits at the heart of this pretty holiday village, with all the facilities within a short stroll and with private access to a glorious golden sandy beach. With a great choice of activities on your doorstep, including fishing, bike hire, tennis and a putting green, you can leave your car parked up for your entire stay! There is a pub nearby serving food, or for a more intimate dining experience there is an Italian restaurant. The Blue Flag beach provides a five mile playground and is perfect for flying a kite, snoozing in a deckchair or building a sandcastle. A delightful walk along the shore will bring you into Filey, which is refreshingly different and after one visit you are sure to be addicted. The town offers something for everyone, but it remains unspoilt and retains an Edwardian elegance. There is a great choice of places to eat, some quirky shops for a memorable souvenir and Filey’s very own Coble Landing with its colourful boats and kiosks. For children, the nearby Playdale Farm Park is a must, come rain or shine as there is a huge indoor play area and interactive paddocks where children can join in and feed the animals. The countryside around and about provides an endless choice for walkers, cyclists, history buffs and anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty all around. The surrounding area has so much to offer, with the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds, cliff-top walks at Flamborough Head and stately homes such as Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House to visit. A well-placed cottage, with no shortage of things to do!
