    More Information

Located on a quiet street in the centre of Llangollen, providing views of the steam railway, River Dee, and the Dinas Bran Castle ruins, is this charming Victorian property, Whitewater Cottage. This three-storey terraced home is well-placed for a family or small group wanting to explore Lllangollen and the surrounding area. There is roadside parking available, but this can get quite busy due to the property’s central location, however, there are a few car parks nearby with blue badge parking. Entering the property, you will be greeted by a cosy sitting room, with neutral tones giving a bright and airy feel, and a choice of two sofas to kick back onto after a day filled with adventure, enjoying something on the TV or making further plans for the days ahead. The contemporary kitchen has lovely white tiled walls and sage green cupboards, and is well-equipped for all of your culinary needs, offering plenty of space and all the appliances you will need to create delicious home cooked meals, with the handy dishwasher taking care of the washing up for you. Upstairs, you will find two of the three bedrooms, a spacious double and a single, immaculately presented with cosy carpeted floors, lovely views and ample storage space, along with the family bathroom, offering a walk-in shower, so you can start each day in whichever way you prefer. Heading up to the second floor, there is a spacious attic room with twin beds, storage space and a bedside lamp, should you wish to do a bit of late night reading. This property is well-placed for exploring Llangollen, with a range of attractions and amenities available to you from your doorstep. There is a great selection of shops, cafés, restaurants, fish and chip shops and convenience stores just a short walk away, while crossing Llangollen Bridge, above the River Dee, will bring you to Pafiliwn Llangollen Pavilion, a World Heritage Site and venue for the International Musical Eisteddfod, an internationally renowned, annual music festival every July. Stop at the horse-drawn boat centre, where you can arrange a trip down the peaceful canal, visit the historic Plas Newydd House Museum & Gardens, which was the home of Ladies of Llangollen, Lady Eleanor Butler and Sarah Ponsonby, for almost 50 years, while Castell Dinas Brân showcases the ruins of the 13th century castle, built on an Iron Age hill fort. Why not hire a boat and cross the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, built by Thomas Telford and Williams Jessop and nestled among 11 miles of World Heritage Site, or explore the area on foot, with numerous walking trails through beautiful countryside, including the circular route of The Llangollen Round, which incorporates every summit of the Vale of Llangollen and showcases views of Llangollen, Snowdonia and even the Shropshire Hills. Whitewater Cottage is an excellent central base for enjoying a wealth of activities and adventure in this wonderful part of North Wales.
