Visit The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction for family-friendly storytelling, browse the local art at The Old Courthouse Gallery, or wander up to Orrest Head for one of the region’s most iconic viewpoints. Nearby, Ambleside offers excellent walks from its bustling centre, as well as the atmospheric ruins of Ambleside Roman Fort and the rushing waters of Stock Ghyll Force.
