The village of Grosmont is situated 2 miles away and is on the North York Moors Steam Railway. Connecting both Whitby and Pickering. A must for steam enthusiasts.
There are local walks to Egton via Arncliffe Woods starting near Beggars Bridge, a local landmark. The nearby village of Lealholm gives access to a village shop for picking up those last-minute essentials, or The Board Inn and tea rooms if you fancy a spot of lunch or an evening meal out.
