This cosy, all-ground-floor, stone cottage is located in the peaceful village of Near Sawrey, within touching distance of Esthwaite Water. Windermere boasts stunning countryside views towards the Langdale Pikes, and offers charming accommodation for a couple or small family wanting to enjoy the best of the Lake District’s attractions, many of which are just a short distance from the property. Head to Hawkshead, just over two miles away, for a great selection of shops, pubs and eateries, and take advantage of your lakeside location with a stroll around Esthwaite Water, or the equally stunning lakes of Windermere and Coniston Water, just a few miles away. Head to the National Trust’s Hill Top, the former home and writing spot of author Beatrix Potter, and one of the most visited Lake District attractions, as well as enjoying a woodland walk or exhilarating tree top adventure at Grizedale Forest. Windermere is well-placed for discovering the best of the Lake District.
