Allonby is a lovely seaside village resting in Cumbria, offering a local beach, village shop, and selection of pubs and eateries. Options include The Ship Hotel (a late 18th century building which once hosted Charles Dickens and Wilkie Collins), The Baywatch Hotel and two lovely cafes. There are more options at Maryport to the south, featuring a museum, marina, and Silloth on Solway to the north both have excellent golf courses. Hadrian’s Cycleway runs directly behind the property used for both cycling and walking and in the evenings, it is a perfect spot for viewing the spectacular sunsets for which the village is renowned. The property is on the Solway Coast AONB throughout which there are many lovely walks and bird-watching opportunities. It is also well positioned for exploring the Lake District National Park, here you will find many incredible walks, as well as watersports facilities, quaint villages to visit, and historic sites.
