    More Information

Llangollen 6.6 miles. Y Caban is a single-storey, rustic wooden lodge set on the Chirk Castle estate, in a secluded position just above the market town of Llangollen. Providing a real sense of semi outdoor living, Y Caban is a great opportunity to get in touch with the elements with all the mod cons of this century on hand. Enjoying rural views, character features and off-road parking, Y Caban is an excellent choice for families looking to come together and holiday in this part of Wales. Spend your down time in the open-plan living space, serving as the social hub of the home, where you can lounge on the settees beside the wood burner and catch-up on the day’s events whilst the designated chef takes over the country style kitchen, equipped with all the mod cons required for a short stay. Serve up culinary delights at around the cosy dining table before heading into the games room for fresh air and fun for the remainder of the evening. As the night grows dark, choose from three neat double bedrooms to catch some rest, serviced by a bathroom with choice of roll-top bath and walk-in shower. Surrounding the lodge are spacious grounds and lawns where you can enjoy family games whilst your canine companions stretch their legs, but please be mindful of sheep in neighbouring fields. Embark on a scenic stroll from the door, making the most of the hillside, rural trails spanning across acres of scenery; within a mile lies the National Trust Chirk Castle and grounds, which was once the home of the Myddelton family for over 400 years. Four miles away lies the small town of Chirk, which has a delightful selection of shops, cafes and pubs, whilst six miles north lies Llangollen, renowned for the surrounding hills and the River Dee, with a Victorian Promenade, Riverside Park and a range of water sport activities. Snowdonia National Park is less than 30 miles away and is where you can enjoy a great range of outdoor adventure, whilst the walled city of Chester, home to a great range of independent shops, a striking Cathedral, popular racecourse and selection of eateries, can be reached in 26 miles.
Choose Y Caban for a delightful retreat, whatever time of year. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 975046, together they sleep up to 23 guests.
