A pretty, period property sitting within the village of Stoke Fleming, this 200 year old coastal cottage with historic features can be found settled amongst the beauty of the South Hams district of Devon. Providing families and couples with a warm, homely feel, this stone-front cottage is in the ideal spot for an adventure in both the countryside and along the coast. Spend your evenings relaxing in front of the wood burner on one of the plush sofas in the sitting room, or head through into the dining room (low,narrow door) to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal. The kitchen is host to all of the essential amenities, with its glorious grey units, this room is a true delight for the chef of the group. Moving onto the first floor (steep stairs with hand rail and stairgate at the top – see pics) you will find the two stylish bedrooms, made up of a double and a bunk bed room. Also on the first floor, accessed via the double bedroom is the cosy snug with sofa, comfy chair and bean bags providing the perfect place to settle down with a good book in hand as an abundance of natural light fills the room in the summer months, with far reaching views to Starpoint on a clear day. Bathroom with bath and shower over. Head into the local village to collect all the essentials needed for a home-cooked treat, or visit one of the two pet friendly pubs for a traditional pub lunch or a rewarding drink after a ramble along the coast. Beautiful Blackpool Sands is just a 10 minute walk, along the coast path (a little longer on the way home!), offering golden sands, cafe and plenty of family fun. Nearby Dartmouth is a wonderful place to visit for history lovers with its castle and cove fort, or venture further afield into Paignton or Torquay to find zoos, beaches, various eateries, rich history and more to entertain all ages. Woodlands Adventure park makes a great day out for younger ones and the Dartmouth Golf and Country Club is open to non members. While Salcombe offers a traditional day out in Devon. Yew Tree Cottage provides a delightful base from which to explore the many attractions of the South of England, no matter what time of year you’re visiting.
