Pierpont D1 is an excellent base for both families and friends looking to discover the Isle of Wight. History buffs will delight with a visit to the 16th century Tudor fortress of Yarmouth Castle, whilst those looking to cast their line can try their hand at fishing aboard Yarmouth Pier. With a network of walking trails across the island, there’s plenty for the avid outdoor adventurer to see and do; soak in the spectacular views from the Isle of Wight Coastal Path, stretching over 70 miles around the perimeter of the island, or keep your eyes peeled for seals and sea birds hiding amongst the peaceful Newtown National Nature Reserve. For a lazy afternoon spent at the beach, take the quirky chairlift from the clifftop to reach the glorious sands of Alum Bay Pebble Beach, and why not take a pleasure cruise to come up close with the dramatic Needles Rocks and Lighthouse?
