Enjoying a rural setting within the stunning Exmoor National Park, and only a short journey away from the beach and a host of amenities, Glen Rise offers the ideal base for a family getaway, inviting six guests and two well-behaved dogs. Park up on the private driveway before entering the abode, starting off in the light-flooded, open-plan living space; here you can rustle up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen, gather around the lofty dining table, and relax upon the plush sofas with views out to the rear decked area. Return indoors for an indulgent bath or a refreshing shower in one of two bathrooms, before resting your eyes in one of three well-presented bedrooms, including a king-size with en-suite, a further king-size and a twin. Awaken to a morning coffee ahead of venturing into the village, starting off with a tour of Combe Martin Museum, followed by a stroll along both Combe Martin Beaches and the West Country Walks hiking area. Continue to Ilfracombe, home to a popular aquarium, and the rocky terrain of Tunnels Beach, before trekking up to Capstone Hill. For the best views, follow the Hartland Devon Heritage Coast path, stopping off at beauty spots including Heddon’s Mouth and the Valley of Rocks, ahead of discovering Exmoor Zoological and Conservation Centre, a delight for animal lovers. Finish off your break by lounging upon Woolacombe Beach, enjoying a family day out at Funder Island, or brushing up on your local knowledge at Mortehoe Museum. Enjoy all of this at Glen Rise.
