Set in the popular Cornish seaside village of Downderry, this detached garden room is tucked away to the rear of the owner's house in a quiet, residential part of the village.
Entrance
Approached from the carport, half a dozen steps and a sloping path lead up to a delightful sun terrace for the visitor's exclusive use. A half-glazed door opens into a small entrance porch and an inner door.
Living Room
Open plan living area with a television, comfy sofa a terracotta tiled floor.
Kitchen
Fitted galley kitchen with fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, microwave and casual dining area.
Shower Room
Leading off to one side is a fully tiled shower room W.C. with vanity basin.
Double Bedroom
A small double bedroom with a partial sea view between the rooftops of the neighbouring properties.
General
It is not advised that guests rely on public transport for this property.
Heating is via electric wall-mounted panel heating and portable electric heating.

Just a two minute walk from the beach at Downderry via a flight of gated steps and only a 20 minute drive from the picturesque harbours at Looe and Polperro, Anchors Away is ideally situated for exploring the county by car and enjoying breathtaking scenery along the South West Coast Path.
Downderry has a cafe, pub and restaurant all a short walk away and the south facing, sand and shingle beach is only a 2 minute walk. For a wider selection of amenities, Liskeard and Saltash are equidistant approximately 10 miles, both with supermarkets and leisure centres, and the city of Plymouth is a 30 minute drive.
The National Trust houses of Antony, Mount Edgcumbe and Cotehele are all within a half hour drive and the cliff top golf course at Portwrinkle is a 10 minute drive. The ancient ports of Looe and Polperro are 6 and 9 miles respectively, both offering seasonal boat trips.
The South West Coast Path enjoys wonderful views along Whitsand Bay to Rame Head, and there are woodland walks inland through the Seaton Valley Countryside Park. A community bus service operates within the local area.
Outside
The Mediterranean style patio with pergola has a built in bbq with additional chiminea perfect for sunny alfresco dining. Being in such close proximity to the beach, sounds of the ocean can be heard…..lovely. Garden furniture is provided. This garden is not fully enclosed.
The local area
Set along south east Cornwall’s coast, the small seaside village of Downderry has a long stretch of light shingle. The dog-friendly beach is easily accessible and is only a short walk from many of our holiday cottages in Downderry. There are rock pools a-plenty at low tide for children to scamper around and discover the local sea-life.
Downderry itself is a small village and is home to the popular Blue Plate Restaurant which offers a wide selection of locally sourced food, including plenty of freshly-caught seafood. There's also a seaside pub, perfect for summer sundowners or warming hot chocolates after wintery beach walks.
Downderry beach links with Seaton, which is a pleasant walk (or short drive) away, and the South West Coast Path runs right through the village.
Further afield, the picturesque fishing towns of Looe and Polperro are only a short drive away with many interesting shops, restaurants and attractions, while the historic city of Plymouth is only 18 miles away in nearby Devon. Here you'll find shopping centres, independent shops, cinemas, theatres and leisure centres, as well as wine bars, bistros, restaurants and pubs.
A holiday cottage in the village of Downderry offers a beautiful, peaceful seaside escape with the benefit of having a fantastic restaurant right on your doorstep and easy access to the busier seaside resorts.
