Escape to Waterfront House, a comfortable town house with glorious estuary views. The ground floor kitchen/diner leads onto a paved rear terrace where you can enjoy a morning coffee or evening sundowner with waterside views. Up to the first floor lounge with balcony for more boat-spotting as yachts, Isle of Wight ferries and cruise ships pass by heading for further climes. Set over three floors with 3 bedrooms, the master with en-suite, this popular holiday home has plenty of space for up to five guests.
Just a short stroll along the waterside footpath and you are into the small town of Hythe, with its bustling centre full of shops and café’s, with a traditional weekly street market every Tuesday. There are several pubs and restaurants, including those in Hythe Marina, with waterside drinks and dining taking in the ambience, and a fabulous traditional tea room – Millie's. Grade 2 listed Hythe pier and railway is the oldest public pier train in the world, and takes you to the ferry crossing to the maritime city of Southampton (please check service is in operation before booking). The New Forest National Park is just a short drive away, where ponies, cattle and donkeys roam free, and you can walk or cycle for miles across the heathland and through wooded areas. Other local attractions include the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Calshot Beach and Activity Centre, Lepe Country Park, Longdown Activity Farm, New Forest Wildlife Park and Paulton’s Park.
Regret not suitable for toddlers/young children under 5. Babes in arms are welcome.
The garden is fully paved, and has an outdoor dining set for enjoying meals and drinks on the terrace overlooking the water. Seasonal planting beds border the terrace and there is a lockable pedestrian gate leading to the footpath bordering the foreshore.
There is parking for 2 cars on the private driveway.
EV Charging: Electric vehicle charging is possible via a Type 2 charging point. Guests will need to supply a type 2 cable to connect to the charge point.
Please let us know at the time of booking if you wish to charge your vehicle; there will be a £30.00 per vehicle per week/short break charge.
Included: Bed linen and towels (guests must provide their own beach towels if required), gas central heating, internet/wifi. Mobile reception is generally reasonable, although please check with your provider prior to booking. Pets: Regret not accepted.
