While staying in the area you must explore the Beara Peninsula and its 121 mile Ring of Beara with great walks to be had, along with amazing scenery and beaches. Head inland to the town of Kenmare, overlooking the gleaming Atlantic Ocean. Full of character and home to farmers’ markets, galleries, lovely little boutiques and a range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs for you to sample with good traditional Irish music being played. Also within reach is Kenmare Diving Centre, which is located on Kilmacalogue pier, and close by is the Star Outdoors Adventure Centre, where you will find a wide range of land and water activities. Go further and check out Killarney and its National Park or do a loop of the Ring of Kerry and take in some of the amazing scenery on the Wild Atlantic Way. An excellent destination that will be the starting point for a wonderful Irish getaway.
