The famous Settle-Carlisle railway line runs across the nearby Ribblehead Viaduct and there is no greater sight than a steam train powering its way across the landscape. Settle, Kirkby Lonsdale and Skipton are all within a short drive, whilst the Forest of Bowland offers a wide range of unspoilt landscapes and visitor facilities.
