It is ideal for a romantic holiday or a couple wanting to escape the busy world.
Walk into the elegant and timeless entrance hall and store your outdoor gear in the walk-in store cupboard. Discover your stylish and cheerful breakfast kitchen with period larder and pretty table for two, then walk into the dining room and admire the cosy dining table and welcoming ambience. A modern bathroom is situated at ground level.
An easy staircase leads to the sumptuous sitting room with a feature fireplace surrounding an attractive electric log effect stove and a full height window opening on to a Juliet balcony with lovely views over the garden and countryside. Across the small landing is an exquisite double bedroom with an en-suite washroom. The cottage has been tastefully furnished with co-ordinated fabrics and curtains and with carpets to stairs and main rooms. Other floors are of tile and mosaic.
Stroll to Hawkshead and visit the acclaimed Beatrix Potter Museum, run by the National trust. Explore the historic and the beautiful, grade 1 listed village church before visiting Wordsworth’s old school. After all that, relax with a drink in one of village’s excellent cafes or pubs.
From your doorstep, you will have the choice of many superb paths and trails around the local area, as well as being in striking distance of some of the best hill walks in the National Park. Drive four miles to Grizedale to enjoy forest walks or bike rides and to have a go on the Go Ape experience.
