The magical Hackfall Woods can be found within a 15 minutes stroll, where you will come across follies, grottoes, surprise waterfalls and the fountain. After working up a thirst why not stop off at the village pub, The Crown, where you are sure to get a friendly welcome and can enjoy traditional pub food or enjoy a selection of local ales? Nearby the popular town of Masham awaits with such attractions as The Black Sheep Visitor Centre with its bistro, the town’s famous market square and 7th century church and can be easily accessed by car or within an hour and a half by foot along the River Ure. For the amenities and sites of the city, historic Ripon can be found within a short drive, where you can explore enchanting old streets and alleyways, fascinating museums, the market square and a stunning cathedral. Further afield, the lovely town of Harrogate has so much to offer for a memorable day out, with the magnificent Turkish baths, old theatres and Bettys tea rooms overlooking Montpelier Gardens, as well as many fine places to eat.
