More information

Kingbarth is a wonderfully private, detached cottage with 19th century origins over two levels, in an area of great beauty just a ten minute walk from Lerryn. This lovely house is just perfect for a family or a romantic couple. It is decorated in an uncluttered style, fresh and simple with thick rugs over original slate floors downstairs. Step from the garden into the farmhouse style dining room, through to a large kitchen which has lovely meadow views, and then on in to the spacious living room with a wood-burning stove and door to the pretty garden. There’s a children’s snug with a box of games and toys and at the back of the cottage, a utility area and a little shower-room. Head up the stairs to three bedrooms, two king-size doubles and a twin with beautiful meadow views, and there is a family bathroom. A big rambling garden with garden furniture, patio and BBQ encloses it, full of flowering shrubs and birdsong: brilliant freedom for older children to explore, yet enclosed at the front for younger ones. No close neighbours, just undulating meadows surround. A wonderful restorative get-away. For those who want to explore, nearby Lostwithiel has shops, pub, restaurants and Restormel castle. Or perhaps take the ferry to the picturesque fishing village of Fowey.
