Landower is a short walk from the centre of Ambleside. Ambleside village is located on the northern shores of Lake Windermere. The surrounding scenery of Lakeland Fells is dramatic and lends a stunning backdrop to the Lakeland stone buildings and attractive streets of the village. One of the Lake District’s most sophisticated communities, Ambleside village is alive with interesting local businesses, shops and acclaimed Lake District restaurants and pubs. There are 2 cinemas and a jazz bar, and lots of cafes and delis to enjoy. You’re in the heart of the Lakes here, and the scenic A591 can take you north to Grasmere and Keswick, or south to Windermere & Kendal. Stunning mountain walks and bike rides aplenty from your front door.
