The enchanting Italianate-style village of Portmeirion is just a stone’s throw away, where you can enjoy its architectural heritage, its stunning setting and sub-tropical gardens, before enjoying a fine dining experience at the award-winning Art Deco restaurant or sampling authentic Italian style gelateria. The delightful seaside of Barmouth is also well-worth a visit and for the avid rambler, the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park awaits, with the peaks of Foel Penolau, Rhinog Fawr and Moel Hebog located close by. Other local attractions include Coed y Brenin Forest Park, Llechwedd with underground mine tours and Gelert’s Grave, which is the tombstone dedicated to the faithful hound of a medieval prince.
