Natural materials have been carefully used to create a warm and cosy holiday home. On the ground floor, the light and spacious living area has a wood burning stove and glazed doors which open onto the private patio area and garden. On the first floor, two pretty bedrooms; a double and a twin bedded room, have original beams and wonderful views over the gardens and countryside. The owners’ Shetland sheep graze in the adjacent field and the rural location makes a tranquil retreat or ideal base from which to explore the historic cathedral city of Exeter and the surrounding area. The city is famous for its magnificent cathedral, unique network of underground passages, and historic quay. From here you can take a boat trip along the River Exe or hire a canoe or bike and paddle/ride along the canal path to the Double Locks Inn. For the more adventurous, Haven Banks Outdoor Activity Centre offers plenty of water sports and an indoor climbing centre.
