    More Information

Piskies Magic Home is a unique and unexpectedly spacious holiday retreat tucked into a Cornish hillside in the historic riverside town of Penryn, designed for joyful gatherings, meaningful celebrations and memorable time together. Inspired by Cornwall’s folklore and the mischievous, magical piskies that give the house its name, this is not just a place to stay – it’s a place to make memories. From the outside, the property appears calm and understated, much like the piskies themselves. Step inside, however, and the magic quietly reveals itself. Built into the hillside, the home opens across two levels, unfolding into light‑filled, generously proportioned spaces with thoughtful, whimsical touches throughout. Perfect for birthday celebrations, surprise gatherings, girly getaways, and groups of friends, Piskies Magic Home offers space to come together, unwind and reconnect. Celebration packages are available on request, to be arranged directly with the owner, making it an ideal choice for marking special moments in a truly memorable setting. The heart of the home is the large living and dining area, a welcoming space for shared meals, laughter, and relaxed evenings creating an inviting atmosphere after days spent exploring the coast, while the fully equipped kitchen makes catering for your group easy and sociable. You’ll find an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, and wine chiller – everything needed for longer, comfortable stays. Accommodation is arranged over the ground and lower‑ground floors and sleeps eight guests comfortably across four beautifully refurbished double bedrooms. Each bedroom is designed as its own little retreat and is equipped with an ultra‑smart projector setup, including Amazon Fire TV Stick and access to Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, and more. Galaxy projectors in every room add a dreamy touch, perfect for winding down after a full day of celebration or exploration. One of the home’s most distinctive features can be found in the lounge: a mystic merlinite (indigo gabbro) sphere, traditionally associated with grounding, intuition, and emotional calm. Guests are invited to pause here, breathe deeply and enjoy the gentle meditation guidance displayed nearby – a quiet nod to Cornwall’s spiritual heritage and the restorative nature of the space. There are two bathrooms on the lower‑ground floor with a bath and shower over, basin, and WC, along with laundry facilities, making the property practical as well as indulgent. Outside, an enclosed patio with outdoor furniture provides a peaceful spot for morning coffee, alfresco dining, or evening drinks, overlooking countryside and ancient oak trees. A small front garden catches the early sun, offering a gentle start to the day before the magic unfolds indoors. Penryn itself is rich in character, with a strong maritime heritage, independent shops, cafés and pubs lining the river. Just two miles away, Falmouth offers sandy beaches, boat trips and popular attractions such as Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, and is a shopping paradise. The cathedral city of Truro is also within easy reach, while walkers will enjoy the South West Coast Path, the creeks of the Helford River, and nearby Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens. Whether you’re planning a celebration, gathering your closest friends or simply seeking a place for reflection and renewal, Piskies Magic Home offers something truly different – a Cornish hideaway where the magic is subtle, surprising and deeply felt.
