    More Information

A luxurious cottage furnished and equipped to an extremely high standard and located just a short walk from the centre of the picturesque village of Grasmere in the heart of the lake district.

Stonegarth Mews is a one-bedroomed cottage that provides a cosy home from home, perfect for couples seeking a luxury weekend break in the heart of the Lake District.

You enter the cottage through a modern glass door which leads to a spacious lounge, kitchen and dining area. This room is furnished in a contemporary style with a large comfy corner sofa and snuggle chair which is perfectly positioned for watching TV or relaxing after a hard day’s walking.

The opposite side of the room contains a well-equipped breakfast kitchen which comes with a range of built-in appliances including an electric oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen also contains a large breakfast bar with seating for two.

Heading upstairs, we find a cosy bedroom furnished in a contemporary style with a super king size double bed, dressed in luxurious bed linen and finished with a throw and scatter cushions. This room also contains a luxurious fully tiled en-suite shower room, with large walk-in shower, bidet, his and hers wash basin and WC.

Outside there is a small patio area with seating for two, and secure off street parking for one car.

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of the popular village of Grasmere, this cosy cottage is just a stone’s throw from a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, including the famous Grasmere gingerbread shop which sells a range of speciality gingerbread men made using a secret recipe. You can also visit the two homes of Grasmere’s most famous resident, William Wordsworth, with both Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount both open to the public.

Wordsworth once described Grasmere as “the loveliest spot man hath ever found” and when you view the surrounding landscape with its dramatic hills and luscious deep valleys, it’s not hard to see why. Grasmere is the perfect spot to explore the northern lakes, being just a short walk from Grasmere Lake and Rydal Water. If you’re feeling more energetic you could take a walk up Silver Howe, which rewards its climbers with stunning views across Cumbria and the northern lake district.

A cosy cottage located on the edge of Grasmere, a stone’s throw from local shops, pubs and restaurants. Ideal for couples seeking a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
