Grange lodge is a detached Lakeland lodge set in an elevated position overlooking peaceful shared grounds just a short stroll from the shores of Windermere. This is the perfect place to relax in a tranquil Lakeland setting.
Enter to the first floor where you will find a handy porch and cloakroom. Continue through to the left through the airy dining area and onto the sitting room with luxurious furnishings and woodburning stove with a wall width window pouring light into the room and of course a beautiful view towards Windermere. There is a separate modern kitchen with breakfast table, perfect for preparing a tasty meal before heading out to explore. On this level there is also a bright king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room with basin and WC. Head downstairs to find the two further bedrooms, one with en-suite and separate shower room with underfloor heating. Both these bedrooms have superb views offer gardens and to the mountains beyond. On warm days relish the lovely grounds that join the neighbouring property The Grange and your portion of the gardens with private outdoor seating.
Windermere is a prime location for soaking up the best of the Lake District. The headquarters of Lakeland Ltd is a must for anyone who likes to get creative in the kitchen. Windermere high street has a traditional butcher and a selection of shops selling local produce. Just a walk or short taxi ride away, the bustling village of Bowness nestles on the eastern shores of Lake Windermere. Hire boats and row boats bob on the water in Bowness Bay, while Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside. The cruises offer buffet meals and live music during summer evening cruises.
