Venture into the Yorkshire Dales National Park where a plethora of scenic walks and cycling trails await, start with a hike over to see the picturesque 40ft Scaleber Force Waterfall settled in a deep wooded gorge. Nearby, is Malham Cove, where you will find a naturally formed limestone amphitheatre, impressive valley views and a waterfall, as well as Gordale Scar, a deep limestone ravine and Janet’s Foss, a tranquil waterfall which cascades into a natural pool, certainly not one to be missed! Next stop is Settle, where you can delve into history at The Museum of North Craven Life, test out your swing at the excellent Settle and Giggleswick Golf Club or peruse local artwork at Gallery on the Green. Be sure to visit the bustling town of Skipton, easily accessible from the local train station in Hellifield, home to a remarkable 12th-century, Grade I listed castle, the Craven Museum & Gallery, as well as excellent shops, pubs restaurants and river cruises along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
