Ty Uchaf is a detached, stone-built cottage situated in the Snowdonia National Park in the coastal village of Dyffryn Ardudwy. Ty Uchaf has been in the same family for many years, and is full of character and quirky features, ideally situated providing a great base for couples, friends or a family. Nicely appointed to provide cosy and comfortable accommodation with traditional appeal throughout, Ty Uchaf occupies an elevated position and has some lovely views from the upstairs. The cosy sitting room is welcoming with comfy seating, TV and electric fire. The kitchen is very well-equipped and provides everything you could possibly need for your stay here, and a dining area provides a the ideal place to enjoy a family meal together. The bathroom is located on the ground floor with bath, a separate shower, basin and WC. Formerly two cottages, the two staircases remain and lead to two double bedrooms with a children’s bunk room leading off one of the bedrooms making it ideal for a family. Outside, there is an external utility which also provides secure storage for bikes and the pretty courtyard with colourful, well stocked borders and garden furniture provides a great place to sit out and enjoy an early morning cuppa! The village of Dyffryn Ardudwy has two pubs, cafe, a garage, shop and local butchers and also a Post Office for sending the post card! There are some lovely walks from the cottage and is in an excellent location for a seaside holiday, close to miles of beautiful sandy beaches offering wonderful watersports, as well as cycling, walking, fishing and golf. For days out, the beautiful surrounding coastline and the magnificent Snowdonia National Park is close by, with Harlech and its majestic 13th century castle, now a World Heritage Site and the Royal St. David’s links golf course is within easy reach. Barmouth is only five miles away, with its quaint shops, quayside restaurants and Blue Flag beach making a great day out for everyone. This cottage is wonderful for a get away-from-it-all break and an ideal base to explore this part of North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park any time of year.
